    Release Date: July 20, 2020 Press Release: POW LS1 Exactly four-months ago today, Pow Presents started to promote their second live music event for The San Francisco Great Society, but postponed the event one month later due to the pandemic. Like so many other shows in the Bay Area and across the nation, live music at venues and music festivals were either postponed or cancelled.     New lineup and new songs from King Black Acid

    Portland psych-rock outfit King Black Acid has gone through many forms over the past 20+ years. Daniel Riddle has remained at the band’s core since its formation in the early 90s, and continues to be the band’s driving artistic force. Last Thursday, August 15th, KBA took to the stage at Holocene in Portland OR for their first show in a year, debuting both a new lineup and new material.     POW’s Upcoming Summer Road Trip: Nuggets Night

    POW staff members Dennis Gonzales and Sheena Salazar will be heading to the Pacific Northwest next month to attend Portland’s Nuggets Night 2017.  The annual event, now in it’s 10th year, features musical performances from a bevy of bands, all paying tribute to the legendary Nuggets compilation albums. Proceeds from the event are given to a different music-related charity organization each year. The festival, which began as a one-night event in 2007, has grown larger each year and 2017 is no exception- after selling out both nights of the event in 2016, Nuggets Night has been moved to a larger venue.
