The Darts – ‘Haunt Me’ from Halloween Love Songs.

The Darts new music video ‘Haunt Me‘ was released March 25th 2026 with vintage organs, surfy guitar leads, and psych vocals. Their all women line-up from Seattle, Washington has a vibe that is punk, goth, psych, retro rock with Halloween themes something like The Cramps. Their new album released March 3rd titled, Halloween Love Songs is packed cover to cover with irresistible kitschy rock.

The Whitelands – Glance

Acclaimed London Shoegaze band, Whitelands, released their new single, ‘Glance‘ from their second album Sun Echoes released January 30th 2026 on Sonic Cathedral. Their music captures the refined aspects of shoegaze and places the spotlight on the high-quality vocal performance. ‘Glance‘ dances in the realms of pop and R&B presenting upbeat vocals and instrumentation. The chorus hits like a pop single but with intricate guitar arrangements. The drum and bass are infectious and much of the guitar work has a precise rhythmic attack on the strings adding another dimension to the rhythm.

Sister Ray Davies – Holy Island Baby (Remix) EP

Sister Ray Davies released Holy Island in 2025, an album with expansive shoegaze and an open airy atmosphere. Now, they have a companion remix EP Holy Island Baby with a release date of April 17th 2026. The remixes feature guest musicians and presents a more krautrock musical direction. The hushed vocals, synths, and glittering guitar lines paint sonic pictures of oceans and big skies. The new single is a portside dub remix of ‘Iona‘ from the Holy Island album. The remix gives it a stronger beat, more energy and is more electronic. This band is from Muscle Shoals, Alabama USA and release music through the UK label Sonic Cathedral. Sister Ray Davies will be opening act for Acid Mothers Temple on their April 2026 UK tour.

The Early Years – A New Way Of Living – New Single

The Early Years have a new album coming on May 22nd 2026 titled, Modern Moonlight. The new single ‘A New Way Of Living‘ is a nod to Berlin era Bowie. The synths soar with analog warmth. The bass has an 80s chorus and the vocal are in baritone range. The song grows and develops starting stripped down and building to a big finish. The upcoming Modern Moonlight album is certain to appeal to fans of Bowie, Byrne, Brian Eno and Radiohead. The previous single, ‘The River‘ featured in our last newsletter is also worthy of attention.

BLKE – ‘Satellite’ Dark Psychrock Single

BLKE is a motorik psych-noise rock band from Berlin. Their new single comes from their upcoming debut full-length album, BLKE from Tonzonen Records coming May 22nd 2026. This song takes the wild moments of early Pink Floyd and hits it with dark modern abrasive guitars and Dead Moon like vocals. The rasping, strained voice is unique and adds a strong undercurrent to the song. The overall feeling is ominous dark with industrial spaces and psychedelic overdrive.

Sun Mahshene – Waves New Single

Shoegazers from Dublin, Ireland, Sun Mahshene, release their new hypnotic single, ‘Waves‘ on February 20th 2026. ‘Waves‘ has a catchy vocal line backed with driven bass and guitar driving the song into postrock, psych and shoegaze territory. The energetic drumming adds movement to the music and the two guitars interweave with shimmering tones that burst into distortion for the chorus. This single is not linked to an album but is another exciting song from Sun Mahshene.

The Greenberry Woods – ‘Whenever You Want Me Too’ New 90s inspired Single

The Greenberry Woods has put out a new slice of 90s nostalgia in modern form. Their raspy and layered vocal tracks build to a catchy chorus reminiscent of The Rembrandts. They have multiple guitar tracks with a 12 string acoustic, electric guitar on rhythm and lead. The bass plots a simple course with steady percussion to give it that pop feeling leaving space for the melody of the vocals to grow and build. This is the first single from a upcoming album set for May 2026 release date on Big Stir Records.

Fire In Her Eyes – ‘Too Late To Change’ Debut Song

Fire In Her Eyes is a female folk-rock duo from the UK. Their vocal harmonies and upbeat percussion pair well with the strummed acoustic guitars. ‘Too Late To Change‘ is the first single from their debut album Look Into The Sky set for release April 17th 2026. The song builds through a hazy folk rock veneer as they touch upon a almost R&B Pop style in the chorus.

Lorelle Meets The Obsolete – ‘Progreso’ from New EP Corporeal

Lorelle Meets The Obsolete has a new music video from the upcoming EP Corporeal. Their sound is always ‘too cool’ with an aura of creative energy that is next level. Lorelle Meets The Obsolete is from Mexico and makes artistic psychrock music. Their mysterious music has started to integrate electronic and atmospheric instrumentation in recent years away from the guitar forward beginnings of the band. The new single, ‘progreso‘ has synth textures, airy gritty female vocals and percussion that enters for the final section of the song. The new EP Corporeal contains remixes of several songs from the exciting 2025 full-length album Corporal. (Yes, the new EP is Corporeal and the full-length album is called Corporal). May 2026 they have an extensive tour playing dates throughout Europe and the UK.

Magic Castles – ‘Mary Anne’ Mellow Shoegaze

The new single ‘Mary Anne‘ opens with warm chorus guitar before jumping into a off beat vocal verse. The vocals are set back and the band gives off a California sound blending shoegaze, psych pop and surf. This is the second single for the upcoming album Realized to be released April 26th 2026 on Fuzz Club Records. Magic Castles resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA.

Magic Castles -New Single ‘Abandoned Mansions’ is Dreamy

Minneapolis band, Magic Castles‘ first single, ‘abandoned Mansions‘ from the upcoming album Realized to be released on April 26th 2026 on Fuzz Club. This song is full-on dream pop. The dreamy lead vocals with background ‘ah ah‘s give a retro feel which matches the music video. The guitars are soft and gentle with nice shoegaze tonality.

Strange Fruit – ‘Monopolar’ New Electrogaze From Indonisia

Jakarta, Indonisia’s Strange Fruits gives us ‘Monopolar‘, an electrorock shoegaze song with tantalizing synths, steady percussion and deep samples. The vocals are airy, smooth and light; the resonance from the vocals fade away and dissolve in beautiful trails that merge with the churning synth. Strange Fruit has great rhythm that will shake your hips. The music has a big sound with absorbing atmospheres. ‘Monopolar‘ is the first single from the upcoming album Drips whose release date is April 3rd 2026. This album features four new songs and several remixes from names like Hardway Bros, Tom Furse and Jonathan Kusuma.

Cult Of Dom Keller – Leaders With Hooves

Go far out into the dystopian industrial rock with the new single ‘Leaders With Hooves‘ from Cult Of Dom Keller. The groove oriented track has grinding bass lines and dark rock guitar. The vocals echo and layers with reverb and a few isolated moments with layered overdubbed talk-tracks, of course they have talk-tracks they are English. This is the first of several singles from the new album Unholy Drum released by Fuzz Club on March 27th 2026. Cult Of Dom Keller has been releasing interesting albums since 2013. All their albums have a psychrock sound but each is creative and fresh in their approach and sound.

Temples – Jet Stream Heart

‘Jet Stream Heart‘ is the first single from Temples upcoming album BLISS to be released June 26th 2026. This song has world music influences with Middle Eastern lead lines and a pumping bass beat. The sound is clear and well produced with a hi-fi feel. The song is catchy and carries Temples legacy of well crafted psychedelic pop but now with stronger electronics and electrorock sounds.

Guest Directors – Meet You On The Land

Guest Directors are from Seattle, Washington USA their first single, ‘Meet You On Land‘ from the upcoming album Before You Get Broken set for May 1st 2026 album release. The mermaid centered music video neatly fits their shoegaze sound with fluid guitar and keys slapping back with echo and dipping reverb. The vocals are 90s style giving off some Sonic Youth vibes which is not unexpected considering two band members have history in the 1990s sheogaze alternative scene with the bands TAD and Chinchilla.

Vibravoid – ‘Fuel The Flame’ Acid Rock Music Video

Germany’s acid rock mainstay Vibravoid has released a psychrock fueled single with a music video showing off their exciting live performances. Vibravoid is a band whose live performances are known as the true Vibravoid sound. ‘Fuel The Flame‘ includes the gooey psyched out rock leads this band is known for with a solid short form song structure that builds to psychedelic heights. They employ hard cutting volume on/off tremolo repeaters, reverse guitar delay effects, velvety fuzz tones for saturated lead guitar lines that are legendary in the underground. This single is from a unnamed album coming September 2026 from Tonzonen Records.

Shapes Like People – Supergirl Official Music Video

Shapes Like People brings you a jangling alternative rock song with psychedelic harmonies giving feelings of 90s alternative and 60s brit-pop. ‘I Am Supergirl‘ plays in a looped mantra of affirmation. The music edges into shoegaze dream pop with the continuity of the instrumental atmosphere behind the vocals. The listener is left with an earworm cooing, ‘I am Supergirl, I can do anything‘. Shapes Like People is Carl Mann (The Shop Window) and his spouse Kat from England. ‘Supergirl‘ is the first single from the upcoming album, Under The Rainbow to be released April 17th 2026.

A Place To Bury Strangers – Where Are We Now

A Place To Bury Strangers (APTBS) is an extraordinary band with live performances that have to be experienced. Their new single, ‘Where Are We Now‘ is a 80s themed song with a melodic and vocal centered sound. The effects and tonal selections in this song are like a fine truffle that is rich, unique and dank. APTBS are know for their art-noise rock however, this new single focuses on the vocals. Released March 17th 2026, this is the third single from the upcoming album ‘Rare and Deadly‘ (April 3rd 2026) on Dedstrange an independent record label from APTBS front man and guitarist Oliver Ackermann. The Music Video was made by Oliver Ackermann.

The Jesus And Mary Chain – Some Candy Talking EP (Reissued and Expanded)

The Jesus And Mary Chain are reissuing their EP Some Candy Talking on Records Store Day in collaboration with Jack White‘s Thirdman Records on April 18th 2026. This is in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the 3 song 1986 EP. The new edition is extended to 8-tracks with acoustic versions of their early music. This is the first ever U.S. pressing of this album and is limited to 2000 copies pressed at Thirdman Records. The Jesus And Mary Chain changed music coming on the scene in the mid 80s with a new sound that introduced noise rock, shoegaze and psych. Some Candy Talking was released following their iconic first album, Psychocandy (1985) which contains their most popular song ‘Just Like Honey‘.

Osees – Cara Maluco EP

The legendary psych rock punk noise rockers Osees have quietly released a new EP Cara Maluco on March 6th 2026 from Deathgod Records. The Former San Francisco and current LA acid punk fuzzlords bring groove oriented kruatrock jams with attitude. John Dwyer the frontman guitarist has become a legend in the psychrock scene as Osees has been putting on some of the best live shows and psych albums for two decades. (Osees is former known as Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees and OCS).

Damaged Bug – ‘End Of War’ New Psychrock Pop Single

Damaged bug is a side project of Osees‘ band leader John Dwyer. ‘End Of The War‘ is the first single from the new album ZUZAX released March 20th 2026. The song has strange broken synths and samples, bumping bass lines, meaningful lyrics to accompany the always entertaining vocals of John Dwyer. The song has good energy, punk attitude, motorik beats while staying pop oriented at least a tripped out version of pop.

I am a part of the emerging psychedelic musical revolution and the wizard behind the curtain at ThePsychRock.com. I am lucky enough to be in contact with performers and labels around the world and discuss music that is weird, transcendent, creative and psychedelic. It’s no surprise that I live in San Francisco, California where the psychedelic revolution was born. I am a multi-instrumentalist musician, songwriter, digital and visual artist in the bands Temple Rose and Black Satori. I have written about music for the ThePsychRock.com, GigSoup Music, Sic Magazine and professional corporate copy writing.

Discovering new music from artists large and small gives me a special thrill and I feel compelled to share the excitement. My journey began when I started attending coffeehouse concerts at 14 years old, seeing acoustic and hardcore metal bands. I soon started making music of my own. A pivotal moment was when I picked up my first record player and started collecting vinyl records from the 1960s and early 1970s in acid folk, garage rock, psychedelic and krautrock genres. The Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and Black Sabbath laid a firm foundation. Then I discovered CAN, Ash Ra Tempel, Tangerine Dream, and Pink Floyd which blew convention out of the water and my musical horizon extended into the experimental and abstract. Today there are thousands of bands which have taken the legacy of psychedelic music and created something new. I seek out these bands and performers, spreading their latest revelations to the world. Some of my favorite contemporary artists are The Black Angels, Oh Sees, Woods, Acid Mothers Temple, Kikagaku Moyo and L.A. Witch.
