Established Italian shoegaze band New Candys have a new music video for the single, ‘Aquawish‘ taken from the album ‘The Uncanny Extravaganza‘ out May 30, 2025 on Fuzz Club.
‘Aquawish‘ is polished dream psych with smooth reflective vocals that are as ephemeral as a wisp of incense smoke in sunlight. Warm textured synth and expansive guitar tones strike the melodies reflected in the keyboard lines. The percussion is varied with what sounds like samples or beat machines and live drums.

Northern California’s own Mirage has released Bonsai a sunny, vibrating cosmic-kraut-rock jam session. Bonsai’s credits list over 12 musicians, including members of Elf Freedom. The music is experimental, psychedelic, communal, inspired by the natural world. It makes a trippy soundtrack with gnomes smiling and Earth wisdom vibes.

Los Angeles garage psych supergroup Primitive Ring have released a new 7″ single vinyl featuring Luck and I’ve Been Waiting For You on transparent blue vinyl limited to 200 copies from Levitation / Reverberation Appreciation Society. Charles Moothart (Ty Segall, Fuzz), Bert Hoover (Hooverii), and Jon Modaff (Noisebody) combine for blissful fuzz guitars, driven rock drumming and grinding bass. Their sound is in line with Fuzz and Ty Segall with catchy guitar-driven garage rock the rips.

Welsh psych-rockers Sister Wives released the dark and hard-rocking single ‘YnCanu‘ on April 28th via Libertino. ‘YnCanu‘ is sung in the band’s native language and references Welsh legends of ghostly haunted locations. The band says, “he song tells the tragic tale of a woman who either met her untimely death from the cliffs or now wanders, endlessly searching for a lost love.” The song has haunting verses and hard-rocking chorus with a folk like chanting vocal line.

Seattle psych-prog band Moon Letters gets wild on the synth with cosmic textures and harmonized keys and guitars. Dream-pop and shoegaze blend together perfectly and the new single ‘Itero‘ from Bloom Effect is a prime example. Their soaring guitar sounds clear melodic vocals bring this Vancouver, British Columbia band to a new level. San Francisco’s psychedelic adventurers, The Spiral Electric are known for their outstanding live performances, however, 2025 has bestowed us all new music from this eclectic band. ‘In Too Deep‘ has a flowing vocal harmonies, ringing guitar parts. The music builds with starts and stops for rhythmic emphasis as the vocals take the foreground. They belt out a ripping guitar solo that is worth the price of admission.

Far Out Telescope Live Session
Far Out Telescope of Sweden, is releasing a one take live session telling the epic space drama through space rock, psych and prog music styling. This is captured in a warm smoke fill basement for a space journey that is not to be missed. The vocals tell the story backed with synth, bass, guitars and drums. Sound Healing Symphony. We had a truly remarkable experience at the beautiful Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, where we joined other patrons for an immersive session of meditation and healing. The atmosphere was incredibly serene, enhanced by the harmonious sounds of crystal bowls, gongs, harp, flutes, Peruvian whistles, vibraphone, monolina, didgeridoo, and vocals.
It was an insightful experience to witness firsthand the profound impact of sound healing. We are excited to share Guy Douglas’s insights and the magic of The Sound Healing Symphony with our readers.
