COOL GHOULS | At George’s Zoo

Released in March 2021, this album includes lots of the band’s songs written during the pandemic era. Formed in 2011, this is the bands fourth album as they continue to hone in on their sound. They are not afraid to be melodic in any way and embrace their pop sensibilities. Songs about beaches and surfboards, with a heavy Brian Wilson influence, sit  alongside more garage-type songs and imaginative guitar solos. “It’s Over” starts off the album with bells and vocal harmonies, with a huge sound to follow, including horns and regal fanfare on the chorus section. “To You I’m Bound” is a fun and catchy love song with a memorable…

    RoseInStereo – Lost Hits EP

This EP has a contemporary feel with West Coast sounds from the late 80s and 90s. The chorus guitars, single note melodies, thoughtful rhythm and the calm and laid back male vocals define their sound. They take on a slow smooth groove with psychedelic meloncholy.

Return of the Bay Area Psychedelic Rock Scene

"As the sun set through the clouds over Haight street, the faint sound of a Turkish drum being played can be heard in the distance amongst all the tourists, hippies, and street bohemians of the neighborhood. The Milk Bar is hosting a modern psychedelic show with bands on the bill this evening, and things were shaping up to be a nice return to form for the Bay Area psych rock scene"

Mystery Flavors Are San Francisco Folk Rock

Mystery Flavors The Mystery Flavors self titled album released on January 7th 2022. The band is from San Francisco making original music that draws from the rich musical traditions of the city. Their lighthearted music draws inspiration from The Grateful Dead and The Byrds with beautiful harmonies and earthy folk stylings. This is their first full-length album with a collection of songs packed with dreamy harmonies, smooth production and a variety of instruments. Their enchanting style is more than just a revival of the classic west coast folk rock and sunshine pop sound; it also integrates modern folk.
